Behind every great investment team is a great operations team, and that’s where you come in. We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Fund Controller to help ensure our fund runs smoothly and efficiently from our office in the heart of Munich.

What will you be doing?

This is a hands-on role with broad tasks across fund administration, financial reporting, and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML). Your work will be essential to keeping our fund on track, supporting our investors, and enabling the team to focus on making great investments. You will have the chance to gain deep insight into how a VC fund operates behind the scenes and develop a comprehensive understanding of venture capital. As you grow in the role, you will progress from supporting individual tasks and projects to taking full ownership and responsibility for them.

Key support areas include:

Fund level

• Conducting capital calls, distributions and preparing quarterly investor reports (Fundrbird)
• Tracking monthly financials and visualizing KPIs of our portfolio companies
• Handling investor queries related to reporting, capital accounts and tax statements
• Analysing fund performance trends and assisting in scenario modelling and data visualizations
• Coordinating with external fund administrators, accountants and auditors for financial statements and audits
• Ensuring internal documentation and accurate record-keeping of fund activities
  

Fund Manager level

• Budgeting and cost control on the fund manager level
• Invoice management and receipt collection in collaboration with external accountants (DATEV)
• Facilitating payroll process in collaboration with external payroll provider and handling employees’ reimbursements (via Circula/ Moss)
• Continuous improvement of internal financial processes
  

AML

• Supporting the onboarding process for new investors and maintaining up-to-date investor records
• Assisting the AML officer and external AML service provider with KYC processes and transaction monitoring

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who thrives in an operational role and enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems, and ensuring everything adds up.

You will fit right in if you are:

• Degree-qualified in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• Experienced in a finance, fund administration, or accounting role (1-3 years), ideally in a fund, bank, or professional services environment
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial data
• Detail-oriented and precise, you enjoy making sure everything balances and runs smoothly
• Happy balancing routine tasks with problem-solving challenges
• Reliable and proactive, with a “get things done” attitude
• A strong communicator who can work across teams and with external partners
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• According to § 1 (20) no. 1 - 3 of the German Anti-Money Laundering Act, you are reliable
